Where Your Ride Rests at Westlake
Parking at Westlake is thoughtfully integrated throughout the neighborhood to suit a variety of resident needs—ranging from covered carports to private garages and surface-level spaces directly adjacent to buildings. This gives you several solid options, depending on what works best for you.
Covered carports are scattered throughout the neighborhood—these are open on the sides but have a roof overhead, so your car stays protected from fog and drizzle. They’re usually right next to the buildings, which makes coming and going a breeze.
Private garages are available with some of our Forest Grove buildings for an additional fee. These are attached or nearby, giving you a secure space to park plus a little extra storage if you need it.
Surface-Lot Parking is also available throughout the community. These are regular outdoor spaces close to the buildings, and many residents get one reserved spot. There’s also limited street parking around the area, but some blocks require a city permit—especially near the Westlake Shopping Center.
The Daly City Commute, by Car
Whether you need to drive to San Francisco or other other Bay Area locales, commuting from Daly City by car is surprisingly smooth. Most destinations near San Francisco are just a 15–20 minute drive via I‑280 or Highway 1, depending on traffic. While mornings and evenings can sometimes get more traffic around the Alemany Maze (the ramps between U.S. 101 and I‑280), if you time it right—like leaving before 7 AM or after 6 PM—you’ll usually breeze through.
